I am a PhD researcher from Taiwan with a strong interest in the ecology and evolution of social behaviour. My current work explores the role of animal-microbe interactions in shaping social evolution. Specifically, I investigate the interactive effects of gut symbionts and environmental microbes on the parental care of the subsocial burying beetle (Nicrophorus vespilloides) on both ecological and evolutionary scales. Before joining the lab in Bayreuth, I worked on how environmental stress shapes the cooperative breeding behaviour of the burying beetle (N. nepalensis) as a research assistant at Academia Sinica. Outside the lab, I enjoy rock climbing on natural crags and spending time with my two cats.
